Twisters 2024 - A Spotlight!!!

Now, in a moment, I'm going to talk about the 2024 sequel to Twister however I'm going back to the first Twister. It is one of the most memorable movies there is IMO. Like I said, both the score and the songs, that was such a factor about the movie there I mean it had Marc Mancina, Trevor Rabin, Sammy Hager & Van Halen❕ Here's this recent trailer WB did last year of the classic 1996 movie that started the special effect epics that is still continuing this day :)

Now, here's the new sequel to Twister that came out last year in 2024 that really had no hype. There was very little stuff of it at the show when We saw Alien Romulus. When the first one came out decades ago, it was so hyped and the marketing of it was unreal which really got My attention. Sadly, I cannot say that with this one😐

They were supposed to come out with Twister 2 in 98 but didn't then in 2000 and so much time went on...they wasted so much time with the stupid script issues and all that crappy jazz. By time they got in serious talks about it again, Helen Hunt lost her hotness and Bill Paxton lost his life 😟I just loved their chemistry together, their one of the very few couples I really like in movies :)

Now, you're not going to see a big spotlight of this like I did the first one because as neat as this one is, it doesn't star anybody noteworthy. The only person I really knew was the guy in Top Gun: Maverick whom is NO Bill Paxton which there will never be another man like him. His son, James Paxton has a brief cameo in it for the nostalgia if you know him that it but he's nothing like his father which is quite disappointing to be honest that he didn't/doesn't keep the legacy of his daddy going😦

Right away, the movie opens up with people of this generation which is such a far distance compared to the really cool people in the first movie, its such a turn off seeing these who have bupkis chemistry😖I already said about Bill Paxton but I really like Rabbit' character with his "Rabbit is good, Rabbit is wise"...now there's a good character I mean this movie really lacks that. It just goes to show you how much things have changed, and this Generation brings. Also, there wasn't any hot women either. For example, Jami Gertz looked mighty classy fine when women's looks were becoming wowing in 96, you cannot say that for this new film because this day & age is really pathetic how it has become😟

Also, this movie really has nothing to do with the 96 one and it even copies things that happen in the first film. If I didn't know this was a standalone sequel, I would really be thinking that this was yet another reboot/remake😠

Now, as I said. A huge factor for Me in the first one was the music. It had such a tremendous score as well as decent songs. I cannot say that for Twisters. The only main song I know was by Jelly Roll (why would you name yourself that is beyond Me) and it became somewhat memorable to Me because WWE was hyping it up for SummerSlam with all of those appearances with Jelly Roll. I'm like so this is what Country singers & Country music has come to now

He sings the WWE SummerSlam theme...what difference his group is from Alabama. This song also made it to new movie Twisters as they showed that later...the song is good but such a far cry from the 1996 movie by Marc Mancina, Trevor Rabin & Sammy Hagar and the rest of the fine soundtrack.

Jelly Roll get's in the ring and ONE HANDED CHOKESLAMS THEORY...LOOK AT THE THUMBNAIL...what the heck here :o

Why would anybody call themself Jelly Roll? Anybody that does must not care for themselves very much. Now here's the official music video, it really a stunning looking one, I'll give it that.

Now, I appreciated this however. For the first one, Marc Mancina and Trevor Rabin did the music whom is two of Hans Zimmer's associates of his Media Ventures. They continued this because they chose Benjamin Wallfisch whom is a newer associate but he's got a ton of credits under his belt including Blade Runner 2049, IT P1 & P2, Shazam, Hellboy (2019 remake), Mortal Kombat (2021 remake), The recent remakes of The Invisible Man & The Wolfman, Alien: Romulus and just this year...Predator: Killer of Killers so he's one of your top composers now. With that being said, while I liked his score, it's nothing like Mancina & Rabin's however and lacks that really cool atmosphere. Here's this Cue by Wallfisch :)

More cool stuff...
